Kik for Windows Phone 7 Released
Windows Phone 7 users can chat with Android and iOS users more easily, as Kik announces the availability of its free, multi-platform messaging app for WP7.

The great thing with BlackBerry Messaging is the use of status indicators, which let you know whether your message has been received or read. Kik, a free messenger app and network, mimics this functionality, but instead of limiting the network to a single platform, Kik works across different mobile platforms. Through Kik, users with Android, iPhone, iPod Touch and other supported devices can chat with each other. The recipient gets push notifications, and the sender gets notified of the message status (Sent, Delivered, Read). The app also supports photo sharing.
Kik is now also available on Windows Marketplace, which will help expand the user base. However, while Kik was previously available for BlackBerry smartphones, the app is no longer available from the BlackBerry App World, given a legal dispute with RIM on the use of status indicators on messages.
