Gadmei P83 PMP Offers Eight Inches Of Glassesless 3D
Sometimes you see the strangest stuff when you go looking for gadgets, but this takes most of my recent cake right here. Gadmei has brought out a PMP system that puts 3D functionality–without glasses, no less–onto a rather tiny eight inch screen. It’s called the Gadmei P83, and when you absolutely, positively need 3D anywhere and everywhere you go, accept no substitutes, this is probably going to be one of the better solutions you’ve got in the short term.

The Gadmei P83 is a PMP with an eight inch diagonal screen, as well as the ability to play 3D video without the need for glasses. It shows at a fairly robust 1280 x 768 resolution, and comes with four gig of onboard storage capacity. Since that’s not a whole lot as video goes, you’ll also be able to use SD and SDHC, as well as MMC, memory cards to boost that storage up to 32 gig. Oh, and on the off chance you’re concerned about your particular video format of choice not being supported here, that’s not going to be near the problem you might think it is. The Gadmei P83 supports a literal laundry list of formats, including MPEG 1/2/4, WMA, AVI, Divx, and a host of other formats, as well as a variety of audio formats as well.
Now, the good thing about this is that you’ll get a tiny screen that can play most anything, including 3D without glasses, for the really rather reasonable price of $180. It’s available right now out at the Brando store, so if you’re looking for a way to take your video most anywhere, and you’re not too concerned vis-a-vis screen sizes, you should do just fine here.
But does this look like something you’d go after? Would you prefer to trust your video to your laptop or tablet rather than go with something like this? It’s your call to make, so head on down to the comments section and tell us what you think about the Gadmei P83.
