Comex Updates JailbreakMe Page With New Teasers
We’ve been following the re-launching of the Comex JailbreakMe page with a singleminded determination, and though we haven’t yet spotted the relaunch just yet, we have spotted something new: a bit of teaser art on the Comex page that’s got us all wondering if JailbreakMe 3.0 may be coming soon after all.

The rumors have emerged, then boiled off, only to re-emerge and fade away in rapid cycles over the last few weeks, and now we’ve got something new: a pic out on the site that’s suggesting a re-launch coming soon.
For those not familiar, the Comex JailbreakMe page is something of a rarity in jailbreak operations: instead of hooking your iDevice to a Mac or a PC, the Comex JailbreakMe page lets you point your iDevice’s Safari browser out to the JailbreakMe page, and follow some instructions there to accomplish the feat. Of course, Apple slammed that particular loose door shut as promptly as they could, which left those hoping for that fast and easy jailbreak in the cold…up until recent days when Comex started teasing a new version of their JailbreakMe system, complete with a variety of “git-comments”. These comments actually show how long the new version of JailbreakMe has been in the works: since August of 2010. Nearly a year has gone into the revamp of JailbreakMe, and it’s said to be ready to work with every iOS version from 4.3.3 and down.
It’s strange to see this coming now, especially with iOS 5 coming soon, along with a whole new crop of Apple devices heading into play, but for a solution this simple, it’s not surprising to see how this could take quite a bit of time to develop.
Undoubtedly you’re all looking forward to this one the way a starving man looks forward to dinner, but we’ve all heard the rumors and seen them go by. Think we’re finally going to get hands on this one, or is it another rumor that will sail on by unsuccessfully? Will it be too little, too late when it does emerge? We’re waiting to hear from you down in the comments section, so head in and let us know what you think!

Now that I KNOW they’d be happy to hear, Chris! But still, they’ve got to get it right, so it’s taking a while. Already took them most of a year as is.
I am running on iOS 4.2.1 how do I jailbreak because I don’t have a pc
I’ve been following the jailbreakme progress for a while. All of it looks feasible, I don’t think that comex would lead us on, if something were to go wrong I think that comex would prepare us for the possible failure. However, it seems like everythings going smooth, so my hopes are looking up at another awesome jailbreak (especially considering we just got an ipad 2 recently that i’m dying to jailbreak).
Good analysis, Bryan–it certainly does look like a fair bet they’ll have something, though considering the iPad 3′s release isn’t too far out, that was enough to get me to wonder.
