iPhone 4S/5 September Release Date Confirmed by New Report, New Apple TV Also Mentioned
We’re back with new iPhone 4S/5 rumors, since this is basically the talk of the town these days. Just earlier we heard that Apple might indeed launch two new smartphones, an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 5, this year, which is something that we heard before, and now we’re looking at a new report that talks about the iPhone 4S/5 and the new Apple-branded TV.

According to Katy Huberty, from Morgan Stanley, “Apple’s next iPhone will begin production in mid to late August and ramp aggressively” in the next quarter. Now of course we know better than to blindly trust analysts, since, after all, what do they really know? But this report, bundled with the amount of previous leaks and rumors which we’ve seen in recent months seems to confirm September as the launch window for the upcoming Apple samrtphone(s).
Huberty also commented on the possibility of Apple launching a brand new Apple TV hobby refresh, but this time around we’re hearing that Apple may launch an actual Apple-branded TV, which is, again, something we’ve heard for a while, so we’re not surprised to go down this path either. Apple’s next challenge should be conquering the living room and our establish itself as a home entertainment provider while facing competition from Google and other companies interested in making money off our entertainment needs.
What analysts fail to provide, as always, are actual details for such a project although we do have financial estimates regarding such an Apple TV: “we also believe Apple is in the early design stages for a TV, which could add $19 billion and $4.50 of annual revenue and EPS longer-term.”
We’ll definitely return with iPhone 4S/5 rumors in the following days, and we’re certainly interested to get more details about an iOS-powered Smart Apple TV so keep following for more updates on these upcoming Apple products!
