BlackBerry Bold 9930 & Torch 9850 Rumored For Upcoming Release With Sprint [Sprint CelleBrite System Lists BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 & Torch 9850, Hints At Upcoming Availability]

The BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 was officially announced by RIM back in early May and the Torch 9850 is still nothing more than a rumored device at this point. Needless to say, both handsets look like they will be heading to Sprint sometime in the not to distant future.

That said, we should point out that nothing has been confirmed by Sprint or RIM at this point and this could all be nothing. Then again, Sprint using BlackBerry fans may soon have a few new possible devices to choose from. Anyway, the latest rumors comes by way the CelleBrite system.

Yup, sadly, this is where these rumors are stemming from. And for those who have been following the mobile scene for a while, as you likely know, this has not alway been the most reliable way to learn of upcoming releases. Still, it does offer the suggestion so we will run with that.

And as you likely already guessed, this does not come with anything solid in terms of a release timeframe of prices for the handsets. Not to mention, we still need to see an official announcement from RIM for the BlackBerry Torch 9850 because until that time we are talking about a rumored release of a rumored phone.

Anyway, in terms of the Bold 9900/9930, this was announced during the BlackBerry World Conference and will arrive as the CDMA-capable 9930 with a 2.8 inch (640 x 480) capacitive touchscreen display, 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording and hardware QWERTY keyboard with optical trackpad.

Bottom line, while this is mostly speculation and rumor right now, you can rest assured in knowing that the crew here at TFTS will keep you up to date as something a bit more solid comes to light.
