Xenoblade Confirmed For North American Release?
While everyone’s been enamored with the Wii U and the new touchscreen controller and actual third party support for a Nintendo console, our Wiis have just been sitting there, collecting dust. Actually, the Wii hasn’t seen any big games for a while, with the Nintendo faithful really only having Skyward Sword to look forward to later this year.

There’s a number of Japanese games that North American players would like to see localized, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Nintendo cares much one way or the other. However, there may be new hope for a localization of at least one of those games, Xenoblade, which a Nintendo customer support representative told Destructoid will come to North America under its original title, Monado: Beginning of the World.
As is the norm with such rumors, there isn’t any sort of time frame for its release, nor has there been any “official,” confirmation. Hopefully Nintendo has the sense to start localizing some of Japan’s most wanted, but with all eyes on the Wii U at the moment (even though it’s still at least a year out), it seems that the Wii has been all but forgotten about.
That said, take this with a pretty big grain of salt. We’ll keep you posted on any Xenoblade news that surfaces, but don’t be surprised if Nintendo takes its sweet time bringing the game to other markets.
What about you, are one of the many Wii owners dying for some games? Are there any other Japanese titles you’d like to see come to the US or Europe? Let us know what you want and air your grievances in the comments section below!
