Samsung Galaxy S II (Sprint Within 4G) & Epic 2 Release Dates Scheduled for Q3? [Leaked Sprint Roadmap Reveals Launch Dates for Various Smartphones Including the Galaxy Within & New Epic 2]
Someone dropped the ball at Sprint and that’s how we ended up writing about the carrier’s Q3 roadmap today. There are a bunch of new devices heading to Sprint in the near future, and in case you’re not interested in the EVO 3D, available today in stores, then you’ll want to know what phones are coming to Sprint in the near future.

The most important addition to Sprint’s inventory in Q3 could be the Samsung Galaxy S II, rumored to be called the Within, and rumored to come with 4G WiMax support. Sprint’s first Galaxy S version (Sprint’s Epic 4G) was a modified Galaxy S model that came with 4G support and a full QWERTY keyboard. But this year things could be a little different as Sprint will apparently launch two new Samsung flagship devices.
One of them is a “full touch 4G” smartphone, which is probably the Samsung Galaxy S II Within 4G. That’s a lame smartphone name right there, not that we expect Sprint to use all those words to market the phone. The other one will be a Samsung Epic 2, successor of the Epic 4G, therefore still a Galaxy S family member, and most likely a Sprint exclusive of sorts (although we could be looking at an Infuse 4G alternative for Sprint that gets a full QWERTY keyboard). The Epic 2 will come with a 4-inch display, just like its predecessor, so we’re not really looking at a real new Galaxy S II flavor since the Galaxy S II comes with a 4.3-inch panel. Other features for the Epic 2 will include a 1.2GHz single-core Hummingbird processor and an 8-megapixel camera but we’ll have more details for you once those phones become official.
Besides these two Samsung Android phones, which seem to be the main stars of Sprint’s third quarter, we’re also going to find the BlackBerry Bold Touch, the BlackBerry Monaco, a new PTT BlackBerry phone and a some new PTT Kyocera and/or Sanyo devices.
What smartphone will you buy from Sprint in the following months? The Epic 2, the Within or the EVO 3D?
