Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Gets Mac Support
Samsung has released a new version of its Kies software for Mac, which lets users connect their smartphones and tablets to the computer. This update includes support for connecting the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to Mac computers.

I’m not particularly fond of syncing smartphones and tablets to my computer, since syncing is often done over-the-air anyway. But if you’re the kind who prefers to sync contacts, apps and files through the data cable, then you might want to check out Samsung’s latest Kies update. This particular release includes support for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 on the Mac. Kies for Mac is actually still in beta stages, and only supports a few devices, such as the Galaxy S II and 7-inch Galaxy Tab. Now the latest beta release gets you support for the 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab variant, too.
Note that the Mac version of Kies still doesn’t support firmware updating, which is perhaps the foremost reason anyone with a Samsung device would want to install Kies. However, this feature is said to be coming soon, so if you want to update your Galaxy Tab from your Mac, it’s only a matter of time until this is possible.
