iPhone 4S/5 Release Date Scheduled for September Says China Mobile Employee [A New iPhone 4S/5 Launch Windows Emerges from China; Seems to Confirms Previous Rumors]

We saw a lot of iPhone 4S/5 rumors in the past few days and the rumor mill is still going strong. Today we hear, yet again, that the iPhone 4S/5 will be launched at some point in September, which is something we’re already expecting. The news comes from China this time, where a China Mobile employee has spilled the beans on the next-gen iPhone launch.

We don’t have precise release dates and it’s too early to have China Mobile confirm such details. Considering that Tim Cook was spotted in China a few days ago, where, rumor has it, he negotiated with China Mobile the launch of the iPhone 4, we can’t rule out the fact that today’s rumor is just a cry for attention that might not be based on any actual facts. After all we’ve seen plenty of leaks and rumors that turned out to be fake so we wouldn’t be surprised if this was a similar case.

On the other hand this isn’t the first time we’re told that September is going to be the month Apple will launch the new iPhone. The employee that leaked the launch window for the iPhone 4S/5 is said to have used a Chinese Twitter-like platform (Welbo.com) to tell the world that China Mobile will get the iPhone 4S/5 in September. As expected, the post in question has been since deleted, which could be an indication that he may have been on to something.

In case this is all true, I’d be interested to see whether China Mobile will get both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S/5 at the same time. Is Apple going to attack the Chinese smartphone market with all it’s got?

At the same time we’ll remind you that just recently three former Foxconn employees have been sent to jail in China for leaking iPad 2 details, so I would imagine that China Mobile employees would be properly instructed not to reveal any details about a potential iPhone 4S/5 heading to the carrier.

Something tells me the iPhone 4S/5 rumor mill will not dial down anytime soon, so stick around, folks, for more details about Apple’s upcoming flagship device. And you can follow our updates either via Facebook or Twitter, or by subscribing to our feed.
