Breaking: iPhone 5, iOS 5 & Mac OS X Lion Release Dates Revealed by Leaked Apple Document? [iPhone 5 With iOS 5 on Board to Launch on September 7, Mac OS X Lion Coming Out on July 14 According to New Leaked Apple Documents] (u)

Before you get overexcited about the apparently confirmed release dates for some of the most expected Apple products of this year, the iPhone 5, iOS 5 and OS X Lion, I’ll advise you to grab a huge chunk of salt with the images you’re about to see after the break, since we’ve seen plenty of leaks in the past that didn’t turn out to be true.

It would seem that RazorianFly has gotten a bunch of documents that appear to originate from Apple and which include launch details for the products mentioned above. The leak is said to originate from an anonymous (we wouldn’t have it any other way, would we?) Apple Certified Technician that has decided to leak a 2-page PDF document snatched from Apple’s Technician Portal.

The “Apple Certified Technician Handbook” mentions the iPhone 5, iOS 5 and Mac OS X Lion:

Please note that Apple Technicians are currently not able to service, troubleshoot, or provide assistance on beta versions of any OS that is in beta stage. Customers should not have any pre-release software on any personal devices. These betas are meant for Registered Apple Developers, dedicated to a testing only device. iOS 5 and OS X Lion are not supported at this time. Support for OS X Lion, will be available on release date, July 14th. iOS 5 Support, will be available on release date, September 7th [ed: a recent rumor did say Apple will launch the iPhone 5 on September 7], in accordance with the iPhone 5 [ed: so is the next-gen iPhone going to be called the iPhone 5?] Keynote.

More information on these product launches will become available, 2 weeks before the product is scheduled to launch.

Servicing unauthorized products, currently running 10.7 or iOS 5, will result in termination of your Apple Certified Technician Contract.

Tim Cook apparently signs the document which clearly states Apple’s alleged policy regarding servicing products running beta versions of Mac OS X Lion or iOS 5. Now, if you ask me, and considering Apple’s secretive paranoia when it comes to its new products, I’ll tell you I’m a bit surprised to see such a document in the wild. Isn’t it highly unlikely for any Apple employee to reveal such details? More importantly, isn’t highly unlikely for Apple to make those release dates public in such a document? After all, the same kind of instructions could have been passed on to Apple technicians without any mention of actual launch dates.

On the other hand we did see the iPhone 4 lost in a bar months before Steve Jobs introduced it to the world last year, so this might just be another similar case showing crass negligence (and by that I mean that maybe someone working for the company is pissed at Apple and wants some revenge) from certain Apple employees.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of such a document? Hit us on Twitter, Facebook, or using the comment section below!

Update: It seems that the leaked documents have been proven to be fake, just as we suspected. Back to waiting everyone!
