Grand Theft Auto V Release Date In 2012?
Last time we heard about Grand Theft Auto V, a stuntman had accidentally revealed to IMDB that he was working on the game, and Take-Two had registered some very Grand Theft Auto sounding URLs. But, we may be hearing more about GTA V soon. An anonymous source leaked to gaming website GameStop that Rockstar will be announcing Grand Theft Auto V this summer, with the game coming out next year.

It’s been three years since Rockstar North delivered GTA IV to us, not including the two DLC packs that came out for the game. It took four years for them to developer GTA IV after GTA: San Andreas, so the timing is impeccable. The source didn’t tell GameStop where the game was set. Recent casting calls for voice actors and other signs have pointed towards it being set in a West Coast Los Angeles-type city (Possibly a return to the fictional Los Santos?).
GameStop’s source, speaking about the size of the game said that “It’s a big one.” So, expect a huge map. It shouldn’t be any surprise to anybody that Rockstar is developing a new Grand Theft Auto game. The franchise has been a cash cow for them and for their corporate masters at Take-Two Interactive. While Rockstar has come out with other games since then (L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption), those weren’t developed by Rockstar North and it’s likely that the GTA studio has been working on the titular Grand Theft Auto V this whole time.
GTA V in 2012? Are you up for that? Where you want to see it set? Do you think it’ll come to the Wii U? Tell us your answers to all that in more by leaving us a comment.

plz plz plz go back to san andreas!!!!!!! wot a game that wud be!!!!!!!!
I wish they’d do a New Orleans style map. They’ve never done one based on the south. There’s plenty of opportunities for zany characters and cool architecture not to mention the outlaying bayou. I wouldn’t mind rampaging down Bourbon St or getting into an airboat chase through the swamp!
Either Miami (vice city) or LA (San Andreas)
Modern Miami would be soooo awesooome! Or Cali maybe – something with sun, palms, beaches and hot music and chicks. I hate Libery City soo much. No color at all – all washed out – yak.
