Nintendo Announces Star Fox 64 3D Release Date
Hankering for some 3DS games? Yesterday’s release of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D might tide you over for a while, but soon you’re going to be left with nothing to play once more. Thankfully, Nintendo has revealed the release date for Star Fox 64 3D, and it isn’t that far off in the distance: September 9th for Europe and September 11th for North America.

Star Fox 64 3D got the E3 treatment this year, along with five other 3DS games. Star Fox 64 3D’s release date was the only one discussed with any degree of certainty (Reggie pegged it as sometime in September), whereas with the others – Super Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Luigi’s Mansion 2, and Paper Mario – it was merely the “by the end of 2011.”
Even though 2011 has been pretty slow for the 3DS so far, at least it looks like the latter half of the year will have some releases you can sink your teeth into. Like Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64 was among the best the N64 had to offer (and so many hours were spent on both), so you really can’t go wrong by picking this one up and adding it to you 3DS remake collection – a collection which will almost certainly grow in the coming years.
So how about it? Is Star Fox 64 3D on your shopping list now that is has a release date? Did you pick up Ocarina of Time 3D yesterday? Let us know what you think of both titles in the comments section below.

so Luigi’s Mansion 2 is coming out this year instead of next, because some game guide on the nintendo channel said it was coming out in 2012, although I myself believed it comes out this year like you said, mostly because it was said at E3 that those 5 cames came out by the end of the year as mentioned previously in your article well either way i’m going to be mad at someone
