New Apple iPad 2 Ad Entitled “Now” Available… Now

Apple Does a New iPad 2 TV Commercial, Manages Not to Mention the Name of the Product During It. Again

Apple has released a new iPad 2 commercial in which it shows some of the main characteristics of the most sough-after product of its lineup. The iPad 2 has yet to find a touch adversary to compete with for market and mind share but that doesn’t mean Apple will stop making similar 30-second commercials for the masses.

Today’s short video, entitled “Now” shows us what a tablet, and specifically the iPad 2 can offer. The ad doesn’t showcase the tablet’s hardware specs, and by know we surely know Apple’s second-gen tablet doesn’t also happen to be the best tablet from the hardware point of view, but from the overall iPad experience and its implications on day to day activities.

Whether it’s about newspapers and magazines, movies, books, school-related projects, video calls or any other app that lets you do “magical” things, the 30-second clip shows the user what he or she can do now. The commercial is simple and to do point, and just like former iPad 2 ads, Apple makes sure it doesn’t mention the name of the product throughout the ad. That’s not entirely true you’ll say as, at the end, “iPad 2” appears, and you would be right, but what I mean is that the voice-over guy doesn’t mention the name of the product that’s being advertised.

The iPad is by now a well-known product and Apple is a well-known brand, and even if some customers out there are still unaware of the possibilities of the iPad, or what it can really do for your mobile computing, the device is certainly recognized. So Apple doesn’t really have to say its name during the 30 seconds it has to impress another potential customer to spend from $499 to $829 on a device he ore she doesn’t yet know how or why they need it.

Did anyone purchase an iPad or iPad 2 after seeing one of those Apple commercials?
