Google Nexus 4G: Rumored Details Begin To Emerge
We have seen Google launch a few handsets up till this point, the Nexus S and then later the Nexus S 4G. And well, it looks like some chatter has recently come up in regards to the next-generation Nexus smartphone. And while some have referred to it as the Nexus 3, it looks like it could simply be called the Nexus 4G.

Name aside, the details have come by way of the Boy Genius Report who have come forward with some specs that could make you drool a bit. And just from the beginning, it looks like this is going to be a nice step up from the current Nexus handset. In fact, BGR said it fairly nicely with their description of how this is “going to be an absolute beast.”
As for those specs, first and foremost — they display and front face. The display was noted as being both 720p HD and “monster-sized.” But with that, there was nothing stated as to size in inches. In terms of the typical Android style buttons that many have become familiar with, those will be leaving. Of course, given the operating system, the buttons being removed in favor of software makes sense. The version of Android will be Ice Cream Sandwich.
Other features will include a 4G LTE radio, 1 megapixel front facing camera, 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 1080p video recording and playback and a next-generation dual-core processor running at either 1.2 or 1.5GHz. And while the processor model was not specifically given, it is believed to be an OMAP4460 or ultra low-power 28nm Krait-based Snapdragon.
Otherwise, nothing was given in terms of a carrier, however some have suggested it could be heading to AT&T. And while personally I would hope for Verizon, I can say this — it seems that T-Mobile and Sprint have each had a turn so it is time to move onto a third carrier for the Nexus 3 (4G). Lastly, Google is expected to have this available sometime “around Thanksgiving.” In other words, late November.
