Motorola Droid 3 Release Date Pegged for July 7, Milestone 3 Also Mentioned
This isn’t the first time we’re talking about one of Motorola’s future Android smartphones, the Droid 3, but this time around we have a bunch of new details for you. And in case you’re not an U.S.-based smartphone fan ready to snatch this baby up from Verizon in a few weeks from now then you should know Moto is also going to have the Milestone 3, the GSM version of the Droid 3, out in stores soon.

According to a new rumor, the Droid 3 could be launched on July 7, which is less than a month away from now. The phone has also been featured on Gameloft’s website, so that’s another sign the launch date of the latest original Droid family member is getting closer and closer.
All we need now is official confirmation from either Verizon or Motorola in order for you to pop open that champagne and start making Droid 3 purchase plans. The phone has already been spotted in the wild before, and Motorola is clearly interested in upgrading your Moto Droid experience by bumping those specs and features found on the last version of the handset. We get a bigger display, a bigger keyboard, video chat support and the same familiar overall design.
In fact the GSM version of the phone has been also leaked and it reveals the same specs and features as the Droid 3. The Milestone 3 will offer you a 4-inch qHD touchscreen display, dual-core TI OMAP processor, 512MB of RAM a larger 5-row full QWERTY keyboard, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording back camera, VGA front-facing camera, 1,500mAh battery and new Motoblur UI on top of Android.
The phone might not be the best Android handset coming out this year, and it’s definitely not the flagship smartphone of Motorola, but it’ll surely be popular with plenty of long-time Droid fans.
