WWDC 2011: Mac OS X Lion Release Date & Pricing Revealed
The Mac OS X Lion has been officially unveiled today at WWDC 2011 and the new computer OS has quite a few interesting features. Of course reading about them wouldn’t help as much as testing them on your own Lion build, wouldn’t it? Well, luckily for you, Apple announced release dates and pricing for Lion.

In order to get it you’ll need access to the Mac App Store, as that’s how Mac OS X Lion will be sold. And that’s the only way it will be available, by the way. Now Mac OS X Lion is a 4GB download and it will work on all your “authorized Macs” without having to pay for more than one license. The bad news is that it’ll only be available at some point in July (there’s no date for it yet) unless of course you’re a developer, in which case you’ll get access to it right away.
Speaking about prices, Apple is ready to surprise you with the upgrade price: $29.99 instead of the regular $129 that some of you might have been expecting. Well, in all honesty, we did expect it to be a little cheaper considering how Apple loves surprising us with lower prices on certain products. Anyone already excited about Mac OS X Lion?
