Blizzard Looking for 'PlayStation 3 Specialist' to Work on Diablo 3
It’s been rumored for a while that Blizzard may be looking to bring Diablo 3 to consoles, and new job posting on blizzard.com adds more fuel to the rumors. The job posting calls for a Senior Software Enginner for the PS3, and the list of requirements needed to qualify isn’t short.

“Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic senior software engineer to be a key contributor on the Diablo team,” the job posting says. “This position is responsible for overseeing Playstation 3 (PS3) architecture design as well as other PS3-specific game code development to maximize platform performance.”
Even though Blizzard has developed solely for PC for the past decade or so, a console version of Diablo 3 isn’t that far outside of the realm of possibility. After all, the original Diablo made it onto the PS1, and if there’s one game in Blizzard’s repertoire that’s going to translate well to consoles, it’s Diablo.
With no confirmation one way or the other, take this with a grain of salt. There’s no release date for Diablo 3 yet, so we may still be a long way of from any kind of announcement regarding a console version. Maybe we’ll get some more info at E3? Keep it tuned to TFTS, and we’ll let you know when more details are made available.
