Archos Generation 9 Honeycomb Tablets To Be Announced On June 23rd
Just like that we have another product announcement to look forward to seeing. Well, you do assuming you are into Archos products. The latest, which will be the Generation 9 devices are set to be unveiled during a special event that Archos is having on June 23rd.

And special event may be the key here, at least in terms of the location, the Hotel Ritz in Paris. But before everyone gets super excited, this event comes as an invitation only event and therefor if your name is not on the list you are not getting in the door.
That being said, while the event invitation does offer some clues as to what we are going to see, we are a bit puzzled by something. But first, it looks like these Generation 9 tablets (which confusingly enough are third generation products) will be running Honeycomb. Or at least that is what we would assume based on the little Honeycomb logo.
Otherwise, we have the familiar Android robot, but if you look closely you will see him holding what appears to be an Android Market icon. And for those who may not be as familiar with the previous Android offerings from Archos — they all failed to have Android Market access. Well, technically you can get the Market on your Archos devices and while it is easy enough to do it comes as a third party hack.
With that, given a few of here at TFTS are sporting Archos devices at the moment we are going to be looking forward to seeing the new lineup unveiled. And just in case you were wondering, Kevin is using the Archos 70 and I am using the smaller Archos 32.
Bottom line, it looks like these could be the high-end devices that were previously rumored to be launching during IFA.
