PlayStation Network Down Update: PSN Fully Restored in Most Regions Today, PlayStation Store Returns
Sony’s nightmare is about to come with an end, as they’ve finally managed to fully restore PSN most everywhere around the world. This means that you can log in and browse the massive update they’ve made to the PlayStation Store (Qriocity services are also back today), unless you live in Japan, Hong Kong, or South Korea.

Now that they’ve put the finishing touches on their effort to bring all the features of the PlayStation Network back online, they’ve got their work cut out for them with updates to the PlayStation Store. The list of new releases for today that’s up on the PlayStation Blog is literally hundreds of items long, and Sony says that they’ll be rolling out another Store update tomorrow as well (and I’d expect just as many new items).
Unfortunately, the return of the PlayStation Store doesn’t mean that you can download your Welcome Back package, as Sony said in their press release that the Welcome Back deal is still in its final stages of testing. So no free games just yet, but I imagine that seeing the Store back up should be enough for most users, especially for some unfortunate DiRT 3 owners who are now finally able to take their game online.
Sony didn’t mention when PSN would come back online for Japan, Hong Kong, or South Korea, nor did they say when the contents of the Welcome Back package will be available for download. Both should be happening soon though, now that Sony has put the rather large ordeal of getting the PlayStation Store back online behind them.
Are you happy to see the Store back up after its long absence? What are you downloading today? Let us know in the comments section below.

I agree…. I’d like to know WHY Americans living in South Korea can’t get back online like the rest of the world? I mean come on? Really? I’m seriously thinking of getting another system with a company that actually tells their customers when their stuff gets hacked and gives a better explanation than SOON!
Also, just because I am currently living in South Korea….. does that mean even though I’m a united states citizen serving your country and registered my PS3 in the states, I don’t get the welcome back package?
