HTC Sensation Release Date Gets Official
In a press release dated “June 1”, T-Mobile US has announced the release information for their upcoming, hotly anticipated Android superphone HTC Sensation. Turns out this ‘sensational’ phone will be coming out June 15th, with it coming to Walmart ‘as early as June 12th’.

Yep, they’re actually disclosing that the phones could be arriving in Walmarts earlier. It actually isn’t uncommon for Best Buy/Walmart’s distribution network to get them unreleased phones before the carrier’s own retail store gets them, but it looks like Walmart will have the go ahead to start selling the phone’s early.
Let’s recap the HTC Sensation’s specs. It’s a hot phone that a lot of folks are looking forward to.
- 4.3-inch Super OLED screen
- Android 2.3 w/ HTC Sense 3.0
- 1.2Ghz dual-core processor
- 768MB RAM
- 1GB memory
- 8MP camera w/ 1080p video record
- VGA front-facing camera
- HSPA+ (T-Mobile 4G)
In addition, the HTC Sensation will also come with “HTC Watch” and “HTC Listen”. HTC Watch is HTC’s own movie and TV rental service that will rent you premium video content for a fee. HTC Listen is their all-you-can-eat music service where you pay a monthly fee and get unlimited access to their music collection. Stop paying and the music goes away, kapeesh?
