Computex 2011: Acer TravelMate 8481 Announced
Acer has introduced a new series of notebook computers at Computex. While it’s not as thin as your MacBook Air, it has a thin screen with slim bezel from LG.

While notebook computers can be slim and thin, your notebook’s overall look can be ruined by a thick lid and an even thicker screen bezel. Acer‘s latest announcement at Computex involves the TravelMate 8481 notebook computer aimed at business users. The notebook has a 14.1-inch screen, but the body measures smaller than the usual 14-incher because of how the screen stretches almost toward the lid’s edge.
Featuring LG‘s Super Thin Bezel Display running at 1366×768, the Acer TravelMate 8481 runs an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i7 processor along with an Nvidia GeForce GT520M. The notebook has a 320GB hard drive, US 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and HDMI. Acer says the notebook can last 13 hours on a single charge, which is ideal for those long business trips or extended meetings at the corporate boardroom.
