Buy One, Get One Half Off on Select DS & 3DS Games at Amazon
I don’t know about you, but today the temperature made it up to 90 degrees where I’m at. Yep, summer’s here at last, and that means two things: more hot weather and the summer game drought (July is looking particularly desolate). With such a shortage just on the horizon, it’s a good thing that Amazon.com is having a buy one, get one half off sale on over 200 DS and 3DS games to see you through the slow summer months.

Okay, so most of those 200 games are DS titles, but there’s quite a few gems hidden away in this sea of games. Standouts include nearly all of the Pokemon DS titles (though Pokemon Pearl appears to absent from the list, strangely), Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, Super Scribblenauts, New Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario 64 DS.
If you’re looking to bulk up your collection of games for your shiny new 3DS, now’s a good time to do it. While the 3DS still suffers from a painfully small library of games, some of the best games on the handheld qualify for this deal, including Super Street Fighter IV 3D, The Sims 3, Pilotwings Resort, and Nintendogs + Cats (there’s also the lesser-known Combat of Giant Dinosaurs for all you paleontologists out there).
No word on when this sale is going to end, with Amazon only saying that it’s for a limited time.. The promotion is also limited to one deal per customer, so don’t expect to get in there and pick up twelve new DS games. Still though, if you need to flesh out your 3DS library a little bit or if you’re taking advantage of the freshly-slashed DS Lite price, this is definitely the sale for you. Are you picking anything up?
