HTC EVO 3D Release Date Pegged for Fourth Week of June?

The HTC EVO 3D is the successor of the HTC EVO 4G when it comes to flagship WiMAX-ready Android smartphones made for Sprint, but the phone also packs another neat trick under the hood, and that’s 3D support. The phone, which was roughly expected around June 4, will apparently be launched only in the fourth week of June in the USA.

I say USA because the EVO 3D, without WiMAX support but with plenty of 3D features will make it to other markets as well, including the UK, at some point in early July, if previous rumors are to be believed.

Today’s news comes however courtesy of Android Central who dug up the launch window of the HTC EVO 3D in the header of the latest edition of the Sprint PlayBook. As you can see for yourself in the image below, “the next EVOlution” is coming “week 4 [June]: HTC EVO 3D – glasses off, 3D on.”

Naturally, nothing will be official until the proper announcement has been made and until that time we can only invite you to patiently wait for Sprint to issue that press release announcing arrival dates and prices. As for the specs and features of this upcoming flagship Android smartphone, well, we’ve known them for quite a while, but here’s they are again, to quickly refresh your memory:

The HTC EVO 3D will most likely cost $199.99 on contract although you should better check with Radio Shack as well before purchasing yours as they could have an interesting EVO 3D promotion for you!
