Samsung Wants the iPhone 5 & iPad 3 [Samsung Demands That Apple Give Upcoming iOS Gadgets To Their Lawyers To Check For Possible Infringement, After Apple Demands Droid Charge, Infuse 4G, Galaxy S & Galaxy Tab]
The legal battle between Apple and Samsung seems to see no end. Apple and Samsung are suing each other for intellectual property infringement, and among Samsung’s latest demands is first dibs at Apple products.

Apple’s complaint against Samsung has initially been seen as a proxy attack against Google, particularly Android. Apple claims that Android has infringed on certain patents relating to user interface, and wants Android phone manufacturers to pay licensing fees (as what HTC is paying Microsoft). However, Samsung has a counter-claim, citing that Apple uses certain Samsung technologies related to error correction and power consumption.
In recent developments, Samsung is demanding that Apple turn over design units of upcoming iOS devices, particularly the rumored iPhone 5 and iPad 3. This will serve to aid a discovery process to determine whether said upcoming Apple products infringe on Samsung patents in any way.
This is actually not new news on Samsung’s part, as Apple has also recently asked the courts to order Samsung to turn over the Droid Charge, Infuse 4G, Galaxy S II, and the 10- and 9-inch Galaxy tab.
Again, we reiterate that Samsung and Apple are supposedly in a mutually-beneficial relationship here, with Samsung supplying screens, processor chips and Flash memory to Apple, and with Apple being Samsung’s biggest customer. Maybe intellectual property lawsuits are just business as usual for these tech companies?
