Playstation Network Down Update: Playstation Network To Return To Asia Tomorrow [Sony Issues Word That The Asian Market Will Get Playstation Network Access Back Starting Tomorrow]

It’s hard to believe there are still Playstation Network Down Updates to actually issue in the first place, but we’ve got one, and for the folks out in Asia it should be pretty welcome news. But even this bit of news, that the Playstation Network will be back up in Asia starting tomorrow, won’t come without some bad news on the side.

It’s been over a month now since the first attacks hit the Sony networks and brought down the center of video gaming for Sony, and now, things seem to be coming back. Asia, though, seemed to be holding out to make sure things were as stable as possible, and now, if you’re gaming out of Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, or Japan, you’re about to get your game back on on Sony. Though bad news comes for gamers in South Korea and Hong Kong, who will still be waiting for their round of Playstation Network gaming, but Sony hopes (though from what we’ve seen so far Sony’s hopes are about as translatable into the real world as birthday cake wishes and methods of obtaining your heart’s desire relayed by way of singing cricket.) to have everything back up and operational by the end of the month, which is mere days away.

The final numbers on just how much this whole gigantic disaster (which will almost certainly be rehashed on numerous 2011 in review lists come December) will cost Sony was last pegged at $171 million, though it’s likely to go up from there, as the lawyers decide to jump into the fray or as further problems develop.

Anybody out there still feeling their Playstation Network losses? Know anybody in Asia who’s still without? I know a lot of you folks are standing by your system of choice here, so I won’t even ask who’s looking to dump Sony over this. But if you want to talk Playstation Network, here’s the place to do it!

is that a joke or don’t you know? they ARE giving away free DLC when its back up. you’ll have 30 days or so to pick certain titles and download em’. you should see that on your xmb latest news. it’ll take you to a website and explain everything.

I want to use my Netflix but I have to login to the Playstation network. Sony wants me to change my password and sent a link to my email. I click the link and it always says “The server is down for maintenance.”. I’ve been trying ALL day. I have been without Netflix since the hack… it’s really annoying to say the least X-(

Really just keep hitting connect. Once your netflix catches on to your actual internet then you can exit out of trying to connect to the PSN cuz your netflix will work thru ur actual internet. NETFLIX DOES NOT RUN OF FROM THE PLAYSTATION NETWORK!!!!!!! I have been using mine the entire time!

You can get Netflix still. Click on the Netflix icon and try the ps network login a couple of times. Do this from within the Netflix program. When you get the error logging in message just keep trying it and it will work. Just don’t exit Netflix while doing it. Takes a couple of attempts logging in, but it works for me everytime.

Hmm ok I take a shower every day, work 2 jobs, and am taking summer classes for college. All I want is to sit down every once in a while and play a few games online. Although psn is back up in Pittsburgh, but not the store. Still, this whole incident was such a inconvenience

I have been a PS fan since the PS1, but now can’t use Netflix b/c of PSN being down (has been down since the hack except for the last week or so). Sorta kills the whole idea of one box does all. Certainly making me consider a new platform. PS3 hardware is 4+ yrs old anyway. Sony are idiots for requiring PSN login for Netflix anyway. I’m in Austin, TX.

I cant get past chaging my password. I just keep getting sent to a greyed out “Maintenece” page. Its been like this everytime Ive tried the last month. That net flix trick doesnt work for me Ive tried it for god knows how long. This is stupid. I love playstation but the last while both playstation and Square enix leave much to be desired in the way of customer support.
