Lenovo's Ideapad K1 Tablet Hits Some Stores
Another tablet has emerged from the crew out at Lenovo, and it’s actually looking pretty nice. And while it’s landing in some stores, it’s not necessarily available to buy just yet. The tablet in question is the Lenovo Ideapad K1, and it’s got quite a bit of power in its tablet chassis.

The Lenovo Ideapad K1 tablet is packing a 10.1 inch display showing at 1280 x 800 resolution (though some have suggested it’s actually a 1280 x 720 resolution, which seems a bit less likely), supported by a Tegra 2 processor, a gig of DDR2 RAM, 32 gigs of storage, a five megapixel camera facing the rear and a two megapixel facing the front to make your video conferencing easier, a microSD card slot, a SIM card slot, and a microHDMI port so you can put your stuff up on a bigger screen when it’s called for to do so.And it’s running either Android 3.0 or Android 3.1, as the listings currently available say both, and further word suggests it’s coming with Netflix pre-installed.
Interestingly, this comes hot on the heels of the fact that Lenovo hasn’t actually officially confirmed the Ideapad K1′s existence, and it’s only just slipped into the FCC’s purview only a couple weeks ago. But despite the fact that this thing only technically exists, it’s gotten a full listing out at Buy.com and on Krex Computers. Krex has even priced it at $510, where Buy.com isn’t actually pricing it.
It’s strange that there are so many different sources contributing to what looks like a piecemeal release for the Lenovo Ideapad K1, and though it really doesn’t sound like a bad tablet, it’s probably going to be hard pressed to take on the current heavily saturated tablet PC market.
So what do you guys think on this one? Are you interested in a Lenovo Ideapad K1 when it actually becomes available? Or do you think this one’s going to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of quality competitors out there like the iPad 2, the Motorola Xoom and the Blackberry Playbook? Hit the comments section below and tell us what you think, because there are a lot of tablets to back out there.

can’t wait for this!! dock?
From what I understand it does something none of the others do though, when docked it transforms into a windows tablet, when undocked its Android.
Your wait shouldn’t be much longer, then.
That’s actually pretty clever, when you get down to it.
