New York Times Giving Away Free ZAGGmate Case/Keyboards With 12 Week Subscriptions

Those who have been considering a subscription to the New York Times and planning to read on the iPad may want to check out this latest offer. It seems the New York Times has teamed up with the folks from ZAGG and will be giving away special New York Times branded ZAGGmate case/keyboard combos.

Of course, there is more to that than just getting one for free, you will need to subscribe first. That being said, you will need to subscribe to the 12 week all digital access subscription, which will set you back $105. And for those wondering, the ZAGGmate cases normally sell for $100. Bottom line, you are getting a $205 value for $100.

Still, while this sounds like a good way to get a free ZAGGmate, is you are not seriously going to read the paper and get the value from that, then you are probably better off just buying the ZAGGmate by itself.

With that, those who move forward and subscribe to take advantage of the offer can expect to receive an email (after you sign-up) that contains a “unique redemption code” that you can then enter on the promotional website which is found at www.zagg.com/nytimesoffer.

Once there you will be asked to enter your code, which iPad you have — the original or the 2 and your shipping address. The ZAGGmate will be shipped for free, and should arrive in around 3-5 days, however you can opt to break out your credit card and pay for updated shipping. Also worth noting, the “shipment of the ZAGGmate is subject to code validation, which could take up to 4 business days.”

Bottom line, if you are an iPad user and have been considering signing up for a NYT subscription then this seems like a good time to do so. Of course, it would help that you want or plan to use the ZAGGmate as well, because as it comes with the New York Times branding we are not so sure about any potential resale.
