Infinity Ward: Modern Warfare 3 Will Be Equal Across All Platforms [Infinity Ward Says They 'Don't Have Lead Platforms' When It Comes To Modern Warfare 3, Xbox 360 & PS3 Versions Being Created Equally]
There’s likely a handful of PS3 players out there who are still pissed off about Call of Duty: Black Ops. Yes, the game got great reviews and it’s the best-selling game in US history, but there were quite a few PS3 owners who felt that they got an inferior version of the game while Xbox 360 owners got preferential treatment. Some of them even made a petition demanding a refund from Activision and Treyarch.

If Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling is to be believed, though, those with a PS3 will have nothing to complain about when they pick up Modern Warfare 3 later this year. “We don’t have lead platforms, we develop each version alongside each other,” Bowling said in a tweet. “Xbox 360 is running the same as PS3.”
Fortunately, PC players won’t be getting the short end of the stick either, as he said that they’re giving the PC version equal treatment too. “PC is included in that, don’t be so quick to assume PC isn’t included. It’s the one platform that receives unique optimizations,” read another of Bowling’s tweets.
So, hopefully when Modern Warfare 3 is released unto the masses, PS3 owners won’t feel that their version is inadequate and PC players won’t be brushed to the side for fear of piracy. We’ll find out for sure if all versions are created equal when Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 8.
