Alcatel OneTouch T60 Tablet Revealed In FCC Filing [FCC Reveals Alcatel OneTouch T60 Tablet, Shows It To Feature A 7" Display, North American 3G & Android 2.2 Froyo]

Alcatel seems to have been keeping a secret as of late. Of course, this is a secret that has been revealed by way of a recently discovered FCC filing. That being said, it looks like Alcatel is about to enter the tablet space.

More specifically, the Android tablet space in North America. Anyway, coming by way of the filing we were able to discover a fair bit of information. But first, the name — the tablet is the Alcatel OneTouch T60.

And now for the part about them launching the OneTouch T60 in North America. Granted, Alcatel has not made any announcements at this point, however the filing did reveal support for North American 3G on the 850 and 1900 MHz bands.

Other features include what appears to be a 7 inch display as well as Wi-Fi, a VGA quality front facing camera, 3 megapixel rear facing camera, microSD card slot, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition, it was noted that Android 2.2 Froyo will be the operating system of choice.

With that, given Alcatel is usually more budget minded in terms of pricing we are not expecting this to end up selling for all that much. Then again, this seems to be a new move for the company so we will have to wait and see where they plan to go. Otherwise based on the images (which never tell the complete story), this seems like a nice looking device.

Still, we cannot help but wonder what this will look like in terms of carrier deals. Plus, the display was simply noted as being 7 inches and nothing more. In other words, that could be a make or break point depending on quality and resolution. And lastly, as we come to expect with FCC filing discoveries, we have no idea as to when the OneTouch T60 is expected to come to market.
