LG Revolution Officially Announced By Verizon
We have seen quite a bit of rumor, speculation and leaks in terms of the LG Revolution and Verizon Wireless up until this point. But that being said, as of this morning we now have an official release date along with the pricing. And the best part — those interested in making a purchase will not have all that long to wait.

With that, the LG Revolution will be available both online and in-stores as of tomorrow May 26th. In terms of pricing, expect to pay $249.99 and that comes along with the standard two-year agreement.
And that about wraps up the portions we had yet to see come available by way of leaks. Needless to say, the press release did confirm quite a few of the details such as how this will be an “entertainment powerhouse” and that it will feature the Netflix app preloaded as well as Bing Search and Maps.
“An entertainment powerhouse, Revolution by LG is the first Androidâ„¢ smartphone preloaded with the Neflix application, allowing Netflix subscribers access to movies and television shows.”
Other features of the Revolution include a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash and Android 2.2 Froyo.
In addition, those who make the purchase can also expect to find a pre-installed 16GB microSD card for storage, Dolby Mobile sound, HDMI out with SmartShare, 720p HD video recording and Mobile Hotspot for up to 8 devices on 4G LTE and up to 5 devices on 3G. And for those wondering about the ‘SmartShare’ that is described as allowing “customers to share multimedia content with HDMI capable displays, creating an exceptional entertainment experience.”
All said and done, the Revolution seems like a decently spec’d device, though we cannot help but think that it should have launched with Gingerbread at this point.
