New Witcher Game Announcement Coming At E3
With The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings barely out of the gate, developer CD Projekt is already onto what’s next for the RPG series. Speaking to Eurogamer, senior producer Thomasz Gop revealed that a new Witcher title will be announced at E3 next month, and said that this was an announcement that console gamers would want to pay attention to.

“I can’t say anything obviously for gazillions of reasons but it is a Witcher game, and I can say that console gamers might be interested in it,” Gop said. While CD Projekt is keeping its lips sealed on this one, it seems likely that they’ll announce a console version of The Witcher 2, which Thomaaz Gop was talking about just last month. It could even be the canned PS3 and Xbox 360 title The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, but given the recent success of The Witcher 2, that seems unlikely.
Whatever it is, however, you can be sure it’s not The Witcher 3. “No, I’m not going to lie to you, we haven’t started work on The Witcher 3,” Gop added. “But it’s possible we might do it in the future.”
Thankfully though, Witcher fans aren’t going to have to wait very long to find out what this mystery project is, as E3 2011 kicks off in just a couple short weeks on June 7.
