T-Mobile Doubles Their 4G Network Speed & Announces The Rocket 3.0 Laptop Stick To Take Advantage Of The New Speeds
T-Mobile has a few 4G related announcements for us this morning which include an increase in speed and a new laptop stick to take advantage of the new speeds. And for those keeping track, “America’s Largest 4G Network” is now available with 42Mbps speeds in more than 55 markets.

Of course, that was the first part of the good news — speeds have been doubled from 21Mbps up to 42Mbps. As far as actually seeing speeds that fast it seems T-Mobile has also introduced a new device — a laptop stick. The new model is the T-Mobile Rocket 3.0 and it will be available as of today and come priced at $99.99 after a $50 mail in rebate.
In addition, those looking to avoid the contract can opt to shell out $199.99 and get the Rocket 3.0 laptop stick without any annual contract. In terms of the service, monthly postpaid plans will begin at $29.99. Otherwise, the T-Mobile Rocket 3.0 laptop stick features a swiveling USB form factor and comes with three interchangeable faceplates including one in cobalt blue, dark violet and matte black.
