Sprint HTC EVO 3D Release Date Said to be June 4, Roughly
The other day we were talking about the potential arrival of the HTC EVO 3D in the UK starting with July 11, although, at that time, we were still unaware of an actual U.S. release date for Sprint’s upcoming Android flagship phone.

Announced at CTIA 2011, the HTC EVO 3D is also one of the current flagship handsets of HTC, right alongside the HTC Thunderbolt and the HTC Sensation. But Sprint never unveiled an official release date for the device, and while we’re waiting for an official press release we can tell you that there’s a rumor going on right now saying the phone will hit stores on June 4.
The rumor originates from a screenshot that says that the “rough launch date is June 4th” for this Android smartphone, but there’s no way to verify this information right now, unless you happen to work at Sprint. In which case we’d definitely appreciate a nod in the right direction.

The HTC EVO 4G was launched last year on June 4, almost three weeks ahead of the actual launch of the iPhone 4, although this time around Apple won’t launch the iPhone 5 in June but only later, after unveiling it at a special September media event. So Sprint has plenty of time to make the most of the EVO 3D before the iPhone 5 arrives. Launching the EVO 3D on the same day this year, June 4, makes some sense in case Sprint would want to have the device in stores exactly one year after its predecessor, although, if I were Sprint, I’d like to start selling the smartphone as soon as possible.
The HTC EVO 3D will offer you a 4.3-inch 3D touchscreen S-LCD display with qHD 960 x 540 resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 1GB memory, dual 5-megapixel back cameras with dual-LED flash and support for 2-megapixel stereoscopic pictures and videos, HD 2D and 3D video recording, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi, Mobile Hotspot and WiMAX support and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense UI on top. Anyone up for it?
