Mophie Juice Pack Plus Now Works With Verizon iPhones

Small Glitches Fixed Allowing Mophie To Work With Verizon And AT&T iPhones

We’ve talked here more than once about the Mophie Juice Pack system, especially the Mophie Juice Pack Plus, as a way to get a little extra juice into your iPhone handily in those times when you need some extra. But now, there’s been a minor modification that’s going to be very welcome to those of you with Verizon iPhones.

Previously, the Mophie Juice Pack Plus was geared to work with AT&T iPhones, and when Verizon got them in, there was a small problem. Turns out that AT&T iPhones and Verizon iPhones are just very slightly different in the way they’ve got their buttons set up. This allowed AT&T iPhones to work with the Mophie Juice Pack Plus without incident, but Verizon iPhones could only use them with a bit of finagling and the acceptance of an awkward fit.

Now, some retooling has taken place, and thus Mophie is bringing out a new version that will accommodate iPhones from either provider, giving both AT&T and Verizon iPhones access to the Juice Pack Plus’ extra eight hours worth of 3G talk time and a bumper case sufficient to prevent antenna issues from cropping up. You’ll be able to get them in your choice of yellow, cyan, magenta, black, and a limited edition purple case, so limited that there are only 2000 of them on the face of the earth.

A good move, I say, as making this kind of thing work with every iPhone is a good strategy. Getting your product into as many hands as possible easily and effectively is pretty much the only way you can get a successful product launch unless you’ve got it so heavily priced that you only need to sell a few anyway.

Have you tried out a Mophie Juice Pack Plus? Satisfied with it? Do you wish they would have thought to do this sooner? Or do you look elsewhere for your emergency iPhone power needs? Hit the comments section and tell us what you think about these!
