T-Mobile G2x Drops To $99.99 With Wirefly

While this is not the lowest price we have seen up until this point in terms of the T-Mobile G2x, it does come with a freebie extra that may make it the best deal overall. That being said, Amazon is selling the T-Mobile G2x for $79.99 and that better overall deal seems to have come by way of Wirefly and their $99.99 price.

Say what, a $100 price tag is better than an $80 price tag. Up front, no. But when you throw in the fact that Wirefly is offering two freebies it will be better in the long run. The freebies from Wirefly include free shipping and free activation. And those who are paying closer attention will realize that Amazon is also offering free shipping so in that respect it is a draw.

The catch comes in with the free activation because that means a savings of $35, which when you take the $80 Amazon price and add on $35. Well, you will see that you are above $100 at that point. Bottom line, it seems Wirefly has edged out Amazon in terms of the G2x and having customers spend the least amount of money to buy the phone and have it activated with T-Mobile.

But in the end, regardless of where you end up doing your shopping, both prices are much better than what you would pay direct with T-Mobile — $199.99 AFTER a $50 mail-in-rebate. And for those who may have missed the G2x specs, they include Android 2.2 Froyo along with a 4 inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, a 1.3 megapixel from facing camera and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording on the back.

Still, while we are drooling over the G2x at the moment, we cannot help but remember that T-Mobile will be launching the HTC Sensation 4G which will bring features to include a 4.3 inch display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 1GB internal storage, VGA quality front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash.
