HP Pre 3 Release Date Spoiled By Amazon.de?
There’s been a lot of anticipation from the webOS fans about when the HP Palm 3, the most powerful webOS device yet, would be released by HP. Last we heard, the device was only coming “in the summer”, but it could be coming sooner rather than later as Amazon.de (Amazon Germany) has added an unlocked HP Pre 3 to their website, for the price of €449 ($642).

The Pre 3 listed on Amazon.de is being sold through Amazon affiliate Notebook.de, and it’s being reported that the device will be out of stock until June 30th, 2011. So, it looks like we will have to wait a little bit for the Pre 3 to arrive. The Amazon.de page, ironically, mentions using the Kindle App for Android on the phone. Don’t read too much into it. It’s more likely an error on the webpage than some sort of sign that Android apps will run on the Pre 3.
Here are the specs of the Pre 3:
- 3.5-inch screen
- 1.4GHz processor
- webOS 2.2
- 512MB RAM
- 8 or 16GB of internal storage
- Vertical sliding keyboard
- 5MP main camera
- VGA (1.3MP) front-facing camera for video chat
Looks to be a hot phone. The HP Pre 3 is one of the three new HP-made webOS devices, apart of the first batch of new device since they purchased Palm last year. The other two devices are the HP Veer 4G (already out in the United States), and the one that everybody has their eyes on, the HP TouchPad, a 10-inch webOS tablet.
Are you excited for the HP Pre 3? Do you believe that it’ll come out on June 30th?
