Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 To Be Unveiled May 23rd

Last week Friday, details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 were leaked out to the public by gaming blog Kotaku. Since then, Activision has confirmed that some of the leaked information was real, and some was inaccurate. And, the publisher responded by releasing some teaser trailers for the game. Now, it looks like they’ll be giving the game their own proper unveiling on May 24^th, just a few days away.

In an event added to their Facebook page, it looks like Activision will be unveiling Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 during Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals on ESPN. This ‘unveiling’ looks to be different than the four MW3 trailers they have released via YouTube, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a proper trailer for the game, like the cinematic ones we have seen released for Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.

They aren’t providing any times as to when this unveiling might air, so you’ll have to (gasp), watch basketball to see it, or just DVR it, or just wait until after the game until it’s added to YouTube, either by Activision themselves or some enterprising fan.

The leak alleges that Modern Warfare 3 will continue where Modern Warfare 2 left off – Russians still invading the United States, big battles in New York, London, Paris, etc. There will be multiplayer, of course, as well, and the names of 20 maps were released as well as some concept art pieces that were allegedly weapons or multiplayer maps or something. Either way, I suspect we’ll see them announce that Modern Warfare 3 is coming this November.
