Modern Warfare 3 Leaks Aren't Completely Accurate, Infinity Ward Warns

Robert Bowling Of Infinity Ward Warns That Call Of Duty MW3 Leaks May Be Wrong, Encourages Gamers To Wait - MW3 Release Date Coming This November?

Last week the gaming world was shook up when gaming blog Kotaku posted a treasure trove of information about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Their information included screenshots, videos, concept art and even explicit story details, spoilers and all. Activision responded themselves by releasing some teaser trailers for the game, but now, an employee for Infinity Ward is very cryptically warning fans of the series that the leaked information may not be all accurate.

Robert Bowling, a “Creative Strategist” for developer Infinity Ward who does some community relations for them as well, gave this warning on his Twitter feed:

A lot of hype & a lot of leaked info on #MW3, some still accurate, some not. To avoid spoiling the experience, I’d wait for the real reveal.

The Modern Warfare games (and I guess all recent Call of Duty games) are known for their plot twists that have left some gamers utterly surprised (or dumbfounded). The Kotaku leak did allegedly spill out some deep plot twists, and even after the leak, some blog commentators suggested that Infinity Ward would “change it up” in order to trick those who read all the leaked info.

The teaser trailers released by Activision didn’t specify a release date for Modern Warfare 3, but everybody in the gaming community expect it to come out in November of this year. Since Call of Duty 3 in 2006, we’ve seen a new Call of Duty game come out in November. It’s the cornerstone of Activision’s holiday lineup of games. There was some of that drama and scandal involving the founders of Infinity Ward – I suppose that could of caused the game to be delayed a bit, but I would put money on MW3 coming out in November of this year.
