AT&T New Phones Alert: HP Veer 4G & Samsung Infuse 4G On Sale
As midnight is quietly rolling through the United States, AT&T Mobility has quietly added two new phones that were greatly anticipated by the masses. The HP Veer 4G and Samsung Infuse 4G, two smartphones that are almost polar opposites of each other, have both been added to AT&T’s website.

Why do I say they’re almost polar opposites? Well, the HP Veer 4G is a tiny little phone that fits into the palm of your hand and it’s running webOS. The Samsung Infuse 4G is a huge phone with a super-sized OLED screen and it’s running Android.
The HP Veer 4G is going for a price of $99 on a two-year contract while the Samsung Infuse 4G will be $199 on a two-year contract. Here are the specs of the two phones:
HP Veer 4G
- webOS 2.2
- 2.6-inch LCD screen
- 800Mhz processor
- 512MB RAM
- 8GB memory
- 5MP camera
- Vertical sliding keyboard.
- HSPA+ 4G
Samsung Infuse 4G
- Android 2.2
- 4.5-inch OLED screen
- 1.2GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB memory
- 8MP camera w/ 720p video recording
- 1.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera
- HSPA+ 4G
Quite a contrast, eh? The HP Veer 4G was announced by HP a few months ago, and it’s notable for being the first new phone since the HP-Palm acquisition of last year (not counting the Palm Pre 2, which sort of was delayed until past the acquisition). It’s not running the new webOS 3.0 that a lot of people have their eye on, though.
The Samsung Infuse 4G was announced by AT&T and Samsung at CES and was “reannouned” last week at a press event held again by the two companies. It’s basically, a huge Android phone with a fast 1.2Ghz (although single-core) processor.
Both are up now on AT&T’s website, ready for your orders.
