ViewSonic ViewPad 7x Revealed, Will Feature A 7" Display & Honeycomb
ViewSonic has released more than a few tablets over the past year or so, one of which is the ViewPad 7. But that being said, it looks like they have at least one more tablet coming in the next month. The details are still coming to light, however it looks like ViewSonic will be announcing the Honeycomb running ViewPad 7x at the end of the month.

Of course, for those paying closer attention to the trade show calendar you will likely realize that the end of the month means Computex. Following up on that, the ViewPad 7x was then tipped for a release in June.
And getting back to the point about ViewSonic having recently released a few tablets. What would make another ViewPad 7 standout from the competition. Well, for starters we have the part about Honeycomb. Assuming ViewSonic does release this as expected, that would make them the first to market with a 7 inch tablet running Honeycomb. Though, while we have seen Honeycomb arrive as Android 3.0 and later upped to Android 3.1 the details as to which version of Honeycomb the ViewPad 7x will be running remains a mystery.
Otherwise, the other specs include a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor along with Wi-Fi, HDMI and support for HSPA+ networks. As for the weight, a reported 380 grams (about 0.84 pounds).
All things considered, this could make a nice addition to the Honeycomb tablet market. And maybe give developers that much more reason to make apps specifically for Honeycomb. Also worth noting, judging from the available image the ViewPad 7x will have the all-important access to the Android Market.
And lastly, so far nothing has been revealed in terms of how much the 7x will cost though to offer a rough idea — the ViewPad 7 with Android 2.2 is selling for $289.99 with Amazon. With that, we await further leaks with more information or the announcement during Computex.
