Raspberry Pi Full-Fledged Computer Costs $25
Raspberry Pi sounds like something hot out of the oven. But while the idea of pie is delicious, a $25 computer the size of your thumb is certainly more appealing.

UK-based Raspberry Pi foundation has been developing an inexpensive computer meant for charity and education purposes. The result of its research so far is a full-fledged computer the size of a USB drive.
While the device doesn’t boast of impressive specs, it’s able to miniaturize an entire CPU into a tiny and–more importantly–inexpensive device. With a 700 MHz ARM11 processor and 128MB of RAM, you won’t be crunching any video encoding or MMORPGs on the Raspberry Pi computer. But the tiny gadget runs Linux and can decode H.264 videos at high-definition. The tiny computer plugs into keyboard and mouse via USB 2.0, and has both composite and HDMI outputs for the monitor. It also has a slot for SD, MMC or SDIO storage, which can come in handy, since it doesn’t have an internal storage of its own.
The beauty of the Raspberry Pi computer is that it can be combined with other hardware, and you could potentially build an entire tablet computer at very low cost. This is probably something that the education sector should look into.
