Cydia Search Lets You Browse Online for Jailbreak Solutions for Your iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

Cydia Search Online Browsing Tool Helps You Find the Unapproved Apps Your iDevice’s Heart Desires

We constantly update you on the progress made by hackers out there when it comes to jailbreaking and/or unlocking your device not because we’d want to convince you to go down that path, but simply to inform you on the alternatives iDevice owners have when it comes to out-of-the-box apps ideas.

Once you do jailbreak the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad (although iPad 2 support is not yet available) you will come to meet Cydia, an unofficial app store where the unapproved apps have their own life. Cydia is available on your iDevice but that’s not the only option of browsing through its resources.

In fact Planet iPhones has a new Cydia Search feature that should help you browse the Cydia store with a little more ease, right from the web browser of your choosing. No matter what iOS resource you’re searching for, the Cydia Search will most likely find it for you, although you would have to have a general idea of what you’re looking for:

Although packages are easily navigated from any jailbroken iOS device through the Cydia application itself, Cydia Search is a browser-based search engine offering a quick and reliable alternative for finding packages currently available in Cydia.

Cydia Search checks all included repositories for new and updated packages once per hour. Additional information on how this system handles package data as well as asnwers to many frequently asked questions can be found on the FAQs page.

With Cydia Search you will get extra info about the app, the developer, as well as access to screenshots that should help you decide whether certain Cydia apps are exactly the kind of stuff you were looking for. And why not, with Cydia Search you’ll actually be able to decide beforehand whether you really need to jailbreak your device or not.

Naturally we’ll still remind you that jailbreaking your iDevice, while legal in the USA, will still void your warranty, is still your decision to take and you’re the only one responsible for whatever you put your device through. And if you plan to jailbreak the device to get pirated apps installs, then we’d certainly advise against that.
