The white iPhone 4 has finally hit stores, almost ten months after the official launch of the iPhone 4, and it looks like Apple is selling every white iPhone 4 unit it can get. The white iPhone 4 is not out of stock yet, but you might not be able to get your hands on one right away. And that’s certainly surprising considering the huge delay between the black and white iPhones.

The white iPhone 4 has been Apple’s unicorn for the last few months, and an extra proof that the iPhone 4 design isn’t that perfect. The company had problems making proper white iPhone 4 units as it seems that painting glass in white is a more than challenging task.

But, despite the long delay, and the potential issues that could occur later with these devices, people are still buying them like hot cakes. We don’t have any reports to suggest that the white iPhone 4 are flawed in any way, but we do remember the rumors that preceded the launch of the white smartphone, that talked about light dissipation and camera issues for the initial white iPhone 4 units.

Has Apple done a proper job at making sure their white iPhone 4s can be used as easily and conveniently as black iPhone 4s? We certainly know the white iPhone 4 is thicker than the black model, which means that a serious coat of paint has been used to cover each unit.

In case you want one of these puppies you’d better check with your carrier or with your local Apple shop. The online shipping estimates have increased to five business days in several countries, which means the white iPhone 4 is selling quite well. In fact that only shows the iPhone 4 is still selling very well, maybe not the CDMA version, considering that Apple will launch a new iPhone 5 in just a few months.

Of course the other plausible explanation could be that Apple didn’t make enough white iPhone 4 units from the start, which would make sense from certain points of view. Have you purchased your white iPhone 4 yet? Is it magical?
