White HP Veer Spotted in the Wild, Ready for AT&T

HP Dresses in White Its Smallest webOS Smartphone, Veer Still Headed to AT&T Stores Soon

The first, and smallest, of the new HP line of mobile devices, since HP acquired Palm (not counting the Palm Pre 2), is the HP Veer, which will hit stores soon. In fact today we have images for you, right after the break, showing you the white Veer that also happen to bear the clear markings of AT&T.

The Veer was rumored to hit AT&T stores in the past, and the image here, unless it can be proven fake, pretty much seals the whole deal. While we’re still lacking official release dates and pricing details for this webOS baby, it’s safe to say that HP and AT&T will launch it in the very near future. In fact the word on the street is that AT&T will announce the Veer on May 2, or just in a few days from now.

In case you’re not really convinced whether this small smartphone is worthy of your undivided attention, then check out the specs and features of the Veer, which should help you decide whether to buy it or not when it comes out:

  • 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display with multitouch support
  • 400 x 320 resolution
  • 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
  • quad-band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100MHz
  • 7.2Mbps HSDPA
  • 5.76Mbps HSUPA
  • 5-megapixel camera with geotagging support
  • 8GB memory
  • slide-out full QWERTY keyboard
  • light sensor
  • proximity sensor
  • accelerometer
  • USB 2.0 support
  • 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • 910mAh battery: 5 hours talk time, 300 hours stand-by time
  • webOS

The phone is quite remarkable considering its overall design and while it won’t be able to match the 4.3-inch HTC Sensation when it comes to overall smartphone experience, it will surely meet most of your smartphone needs. Too bad though that it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headset jack. That’s certainly a feature some customers won’t let slide.

We’ll be back with official prices and release dates, but, in the mean time, let us know whether you’d buy the device or not.
