First Portal 2 DLC Will Cost You Absolutely Nothing
Continuing with our coverage of developers that kick ass, next up we’ve got some news from Valve: they’ve announced that the first DLC for Portal 2 will be free. It doesn’t matter if you play on Xbox 360, PS3, or PC, you’ll be getting this DLC for the cool price of zero dollars.

It’s certainly awesome that Valve has decided to give their customers Portal 2 DLC at no cost, but it really doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering that this is Valve we’re talking about. After all, they may be leaving Half Life fans hanging by not revealing any news about Episode 3, but you have to give credit where credit is due: they know how to support a game after release.
You’ll be able to get your first helping of Portal 2 DLC, which will include new test chambers and new challenge modes for both single player and multiplayer, some time this summer. Other than that, details are scarce at the moment, but as always, once more details are revealed, you’ll be able to find them here.
