HTC Sensation Successor to Come with NFC Capabilities & More? [HTC Rumored to Already Plan a New Sensation-Like Android Flagship Smartphone for the Future; Near Field Communication Support Included?]
HTC’s current flagship Android smartphone is the Sensation, a device launched in London, UK a few weeks ago. The HTC Sensation is going to hit T-Mobile stores in the near future, but the word on the street is that HTC is already planning a successor, probably its next Android flagship device.

The Sensation 2, or whatever they’ll decide to call it, is said to pack some of the same awesome specs found on the Sensation but it will also have to offer some other interesting features, like NFC support for example.
HTC is apparently interested in matching Google’s and Samsung’s NFC intentions but no HTC device, at least the one that have been announced to date, are packing Near Field Communication support. The news comes from an HTC representative, naturally an anonymous one, that said this next-gen Sensation “should be positioned slightly above” it.
Since this upcoming smartphone should be molded on the chassis of the Sensation, let’s quickly go through the main specs and features of the Sensation:
• 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread
• HTC Sense 3.0 UI
• 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) touchscreen SLCD display
• 8-megapixel camera on the back with dual-LED flash and 1080p HD video recording
• 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera
• 1GB internal memory
• up to 16GB memory card support
• HSDPA
• AGPS
• Wi-Fi b/g/n
• USB 2.0
• Bluetooth 3.0
• 3.5mm headset jack
• HDMI support via microUSB
• Mobile Hotspot
Considering that just earlier we’ve seen the first unconfirmed specs and features of the second HTC 3D smartphone of 2011, the HTC Doubleshot, should we assume that HTC’s next NFC-packing, Sensation-like, flagship Android smartphone could come with 3D capabilities on board too? We’ll be back with more news on this unknown device in the future, but if you have more information on this baby then, by all means, give us a few anonymous hints on what to expect from it.
