Wi-Fi Motorola Xoom Honeycomb Tablet Coming to Sprint on May 8?
We’re yet to confirm whether the Motorola Xoom is a success when it comes to overall sales, but in the mean time we’re ready to announce the arrival of the Xoom Wi-Fi at Sprint stores. Or at least, if the leak after the break is to be believed, we are. That’s right, we don’t have an official press release for you, as Sprint is yet to officially announce the Xoom Wi-Fi.

Yesterday the company made the Samsung Nexus S 4G official the WiMAX enabled Google Nexus S version that will come to Sprint customers on May 8, and it seems that the Xoom Wi-Fi will be available on the same date. Furthermore, in case the Xoom is not enough for you, the BlackBerry PlayBook will be available out at the same time, so you’ll be able to get your own hands-on experience with each tablet and decide which one to buy.

The screenshot above, coming from Spantechular shows us the Xoom Wi-Fi advertised as “available 5/8/11” for $599.99. The price matches the 32GB iPad 2 Wi-Fi, in case you were wondering, and while, when it comes to hardware the Xoom has better specs than the iPad 2 has to offer, Motorola’s tablet, which we thoroughly reviewed for you already, still failed to win the hearts and minds of the consumers, at least according to analysts, and we expect more from the main iPad 2 rival out there.
Should the screenshot above turn out to be true, and we have a pretty good feeling about it considering past rumors, then Sprint will have a spectacular lunch day so make sure you plan ahead for a trip to your nearest store in case you’re an Android gadgets fan, but not only, since the PlayBook should also be on display. What will you buy in a little over a week from now? The Google Nexus S 4G, the Motorola Xoom or the BlackBerry PlayBook?
