iBuyPower Custom Gaming PCs Now Available At Walmart's Web Site

Customizable PCs With A Variety Of Components Now Available Through Walmart

Walmart is probably not the first place many of you think of when you’re thinking about places to shop and buy yourself a heavy new gaming PC. But that particular concept is about to get introduced thanks to a new agreement out at Walmart to start stocking the iBuyPower line out at their website, and even letting you customize them there.

As is generally the case with customizable computers, you will have plenty of options to choose from with the iBuyPower line, and thus, be able to outfit your computer as you think best. For instance, you’ll be able to choose from five different processors, starting with an AMD Athlon II x4 645 at 3.1 GHz all the way up to a pretty respectable Intel Core i7 2600K running at 3.4 GHz. From there you’ll have your choice of two, four, or eight gigs of RAM, hard drives going from 500 gig to two terabytes, your choice of nine different graphics cards from an Nvidia GeForce GT430 with one gig all the way up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX480 with 1.5 gig, as well as your choice of DVD burner, DVD / Blu-ray combo or Blu-ray burner, three versions of Windows 7, and optionally, a card reader, monitor and printer.

The basic configuration starts at $578, which includes all the lowest end components and none of the options. Going all the way to the upper end will set you back $2128, but that includes a 27 inch 1080p Viewsonic monitor and an HP Officejet printer.

Considering the level of customization you’ve got available to you here, this might not be a bad option at all for most any gamer out there, especially a gamer who wants to go PC. Interestingly, you can also assemble your own out at iBuyPower’s website, but there’s a critical difference in that Walmart has these available as a “ship to store” option, meaning they’ll ship it free to your nearest store, where you can pick it up yourself and save quite a bit of cash on a pretty substantial iBuyPower system.
