Hulu On Xbox 360 Confirmed
PSN is down on the PlayStation 3, and while Netflix is still working, Hulu Plus isn’t. Great news though, as it looks like Hulu Plus is coming to the Xbox 360 in just a few short days! Leaked scans from the Official Xbox Magazine have confirmed that the magazine promises that Hulu Plus is coming on April 29th, for Xbox Live Gold Members.

OXM EIC Francesca Reyes later confirmed that information from the magazine was accurate, so it looks legit. You’ll need to pay the $8/month for Hulu Plus, as well as the regular fee for Xbox Live Gold. I am a Hulu Plus member, and if you’re not familiar with it, you still see ads, but you get a huge selection of shows, including many of them putting their whole back catalog up on the service.
The timing for this is brilliant, considering that PSN is down and Hulu Plus isn’t accessible through the service (even though, as mentioned Netflix is). I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, considering that as a print magazine, OXM probably has a long lead time. But it should be a huge win for Microsoft to say “Hey, look, our service is up and we have parity with PSN now, at least regarding Hulu Plus and Netflix. Come over here!”
The OXM leaks also say that Microsoft will be holding a contest from April 29th through May 30th, where they’ll be randomly awarding prizes to Hulu Plus users on XBL. Prizes include a real life vacation to Beaches Resort, Xbox 360 bundles, and Hulu Plus subscription time. Not bad!
