Windows 8 App Store Sneak Peak Images Now Believed Fake [Rumored Windows 8 App Store Images Are Actually The Chinese Language Appmarts App, Its Real But Not From Microsoft]
According to the rumor mill, Microsoft is going to include an app store in Windows 8. And while that it itself is not all that surprising considering everyone else has an app store, the recently revealed images of the Windows App Store may not have been the real deal.

Shocking, we know, images circulating the interwebs that were altered. Anyway, the latest details on that Windows App Store suggest that those images were nothing more than a hoax. Well, technically speaking, a hoax with a ring of truth. You see, the images seem to actually be of a real product, or at least based on a real product.
Basically, the latest part of this story is suggesting that the english language images that were circulating the web are now believed to have been altered based on the image you see in this post. And for those wondering, the above image is of the Chinese language Appmarts app. And that is where the ring of truth comes in, Appmarts is apparently a real app and a real app store, its just that it is not part of Windows 8, or even from Microsoft for that matter.
That said, the app store that is going to be appearing along with Windows 8 is said to be called the “Windows Store” and it is apparently still “locked down to internal Microsoft servers and domain users.” In other words, Microsoft is reportedly planning an app store for Windows 8 however given it is not yet in any of the builds, it has not leaked — at least yet.
With that, while it is always fun to check out leaked images on the interwebs, we always have to remember to take them with a bit of caution. And who knows, maybe we will see some real images of the Microsoft Windows Store leak sometime soon.
